Just one log of a startup would have sufficed...

                Anyways here's the thing

Happens sometimes when installing on Windows workstation operating systems rather than on a proper server OS.

                Several options:

                - Let the OBIPS create a completely new web catalog from scratch by giving a new webcat name or destination folder

                - Transplant the sawguidstate.atr from a working webcat of the same patch level of OBIEE

Great...the portal ate my answer, so once more in short:

1.) Next time please just post a clean log file of one startup. Not hours of log.

2.) You're on an unpatched .7.0 which is almost 2 years old by now...you may want to change that situation very soon.

3.) Your error is due to an error so far only encountered when using a workstation operating system rather than a proper server OS.

                  4.) This is the error:

                  [2015-05-12T14:39:16.000+05:30] [OBIPS] [WARNING:1] [] [saw.catalog.impl.read] [ecid: ] [tid: ] Error loading \\?\E:\Oracle\Middleware\instances\instance2\bifoundation\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\catalog\SampleAppLite\root\system\mktgcache\sawguidstate.atr[[

                  ecid:

                  ]]

5.) Either create a new webcat from scratch by pointing OBIPS to a new folder name or folder destination for the webcat

                  OR

transplant the sawguidstate.atr from a working environment which runs the same exact version of OBIEE

thats 10g directory. But why are you looking for that path? Did you follow what Christian has suggested you to perform?

this would be your catalog directory E:\Oracle\Middleware\instances\instance2\bifoundation\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\catalog\

YeahI really didn't get why all of a sudden this was about 10g when the log and all paths clearly state 11g.

may be the OP tried searching for webcatalog path in google and landed up with 10g directories and started looking for those paths in 11g.

Would be weird as a search for sawguidstate.atr yields about 10 immediate hits which are all solutions to the issue

Yes I searched google for the path and ended up with 10g directory. Thanks for your help.

Enterprise Manager controls the path where your presenration catalog resides.

                                So does it work now?

Also: can you please edit this post and truncate 99% of that log and leave only the part of the last startup? This thread's unusable on a smartphone screen due to that immense text block.
