How to give a 30,000 Foot-View of an AWR Report to Management..."F.A.Q"

unknown-2886786May 12 2015 — edited May 12 2015

Hey Guys, Xevv here....

They are doing some performance testing to an instance before launch as you would normally want to do.

I have been asked to watch the Database for performance issues.

I ran a AWR for the time period that they where doing the load testing, and now they are asking for a High Level information.

What is the essential information from the AWR Report that I need to tell them other than the "following".

The AWR Report was taken in a snap-shot for 1 hour...

1) CPU Hits?

2) IO WAITS

3) Log Switching...faster than (30mins)

4) REDO Log waits

...

Ok, what other information would it be helpful for them to know?

Thanks,

Xevv.
