which version of FDMEE are you?
You have an example in support document FDMEE Script Samples (Doc ID 1613836.1)
You can have a MAXL command in your batch file to perform the extract
An example calc script to perform an Essbase extract, and then load the extract file with FDMEE.
- Create a batch file (.bat) that performs the extract from Essbase.
- Call the batch file from the BefImport event scriptimport os
command = "D:\temp\BatchFiles\helloworld.bat > helloworld.out"
p = subprocess.Popen(command)
retcode = p.wait()
- Load helloworld.out using FDMEE
This Jython script can be created in the BefImport Script.
Then you can have a data load rule with a file name predefined in it (Ex: Essbase_Extract_XXXX) where XXXX is there period-year.
Your jython script should create that file so when import happens, data is imported
Bear in mind that this is an out of the box functionality in 126.96.36.199 so if you are in 188.8.131.52.x I would not put much effort in a complex solution
I hope that puts you on the right path
Thanks Amores ! it shound like a solution , i am going to implement it and let you know the status !
