    How do I abort or kill or cancel hanging adop patch run? (EBS R12.2.4)

      Hi all,

      EBS R12.2.4

      OEL 6.5

      Without check previous patch status( adop -status), I applied a patch using:

      $ adop phase=apply patches=20059164 patchtop=/home/applcrp2/patch_for_application

      But I got the following error:

      Validation successful. All expected nodes are listed in ADOP_VALID_NODES table.

      [EVENT]     [START 2015/05/25 15:28:41] Performing database sanity checks

      [EVENT]     [END   2015/05/25 15:28:41] Finished performing database sanity checks

      [UNEXPECTED]Apply phase can only be run while in a patching cycle, i.e. after prepare phase.

      [STATEMENT] Please run adopscanlog utility, using the command

      "adopscanlog -latest=yes"

      to get the list of the log files along with snippet of the error message corresponding to each log file.

      adop exiting with status = 2 (Fail)

      I tried to run adop -status and I found out that there were previous patch runs  hanging

      How do I kill/clear/abort and clean the hanging patch?

      $ adop  -status
