The folder "/data/nfs_share/d01/oracle/PROD/fs1/EBSapps/appl/admin/PROD/out" should exist and have write permissions.
Either change the permissions of the owning folder or create it yourself.
I did follow the doc. What concerns me is that we have to manually change perms and this is not documented at all.
Yes, it's common sense, I agree, but making manual changes, I am not a big fan, as it can affect some structures.
If perms needs to be changed, then it needs to be documented.
Such permission changes are not necessary when install and other instructions have been followed correctly - likely it is an issue with your install.
The post install checks completed successfully when I completed the install.
The application launches fine when invoked.
If all EBS functions always functioned as correctly as it is designed, then we would not need Oracle support nor would there be a need for this forum.
Agreed - I have applied many translation synch patches and have never had once to change any permissions on any directories.
