Design Patterns for Apex 5.0

     There are no specific design patterns in Oracle APEX as they are in Java, but there are Design Best Practices.

     As far as Oracle APEX application design is concerned you have following points to consider:

• Database Design : Focus on designing the database so that you can make more use of APEX built-in features. Database design patterns and rules, I assume that you know already.
• Business Logic Design : Leverage the tight-coupledness of Oracle APEX with Oracle Database with the help of efficient/optimized SQL and PL/SQL. You will get design patterns for PL/SQL. Try to cover the most business logic in packaged functions/procedures and leave very small foot print of SQL and PL/SQL in APEX components.
• UI Design : It's all about HTML/CSS. You will get loads of information about HTML/CSS design patterns. Follow the UI which fits your requirements and then you can modify the theme templates to design your custom theme in Oracle APEX.
