Install Oracle BI Apps 7.9.6.4 with Informatica Server 9.6.1

RJimitJul 6 2015 — edited Aug 17 2015

Hi All,

I'm doing a fresh install of OBIEE 11g, DAC 11g, BI Apps 7.9.6.4, Informatica Server and Client 9.6.1

I chose Informatica 9.6.1 because that is the only one available on e-Delivery with OBIEE 11.1.1.7.0.

When i try to restore the BI Apps Informatica repository "Oracle_BI_DW_Base.rep" through Administration Console i get the following error:

"The backup file is from a different version of the Informatica Repository. Backup file repository version: 181, Current repository version: 184"

I agree this was bound to happen because the BI Apps 7964 Informatica repository was probably created at a time when Infa 9.0.1 was the latest.

My issue is - i am doing a fresh installation of BI Apps 7.9.6.4 with Infa 9.6.1 and have no older version of Infa Server to fall back on. Infa 9.0.1 is now not available on e-delivery too. I have no older Infa repository in the database because i am installing everything for the first time. How do i get my BI Apps Informatica repository to work on Informatica 9.6.1?? (My employer does not have premium Oracle Support or Informatica Support hence unable to take their help)

Restart OAAM instance. Best would be to shut down all OAAM instances, then update the password using EM before starting the OAAM instances again.

I updated the QA_OAAM schema password in this path: weblogic domain/oam_domain/Security/credentials/oaam Map/oaam_db_key and restarted everything.  However, the QA_OAAM db account is still locked.

Where else do I need to update the password?

Thanks

I also unlocked the database account after restarting the oaam managed servers.

My issue has been resolved.

We updated the pwd in the database (to make sure we have the right pwd).

We updated the pwd in weblogic admin console/Service/Data Sources (for all 3 OAAM related data sources).

Shutdown all OAAM admin and managed servers

Logged into the database to unlock the oaam database account

Restarted the oaam admin server (monitor the oaam db account connection using sql developer) in weblogic

Restarted the oaam managed server in weblogic (monitor the oaam db account connection using sql developer).

Once all managed servers are up and running and the oaam db account is not locked, then the issue has been resolved.
