    Oracle Adds Support for Apache Jena 2.11.1 and Fuseki 1.0.1

      Good news! We recently released a new kit that adds support for Apache Jena 2.11.1 and Fuseki 1.0.1. This kit is designed to work with Oracle Database 11.2.0.3 and 11.2.0.4 and Oracle Database 12c.

      To download, please go to the following webpage;

          This is great news. It seems that the documentation in "7.1 Setting Up the Software Environment" needs to be updated to reflect the new kit. References to Patch 17241927 should probably be removed. The directory list should be updated to match the new kit. References to "Joseki" can be removed as that module has been replaced with "Fuseki" by the Apache Jena project.

          It is great to see RDF Semantic Graph tracking the Apache Jena updates. Apache Jena 3.0.0 / Apache Jena Fuseki 2.3.0 includes changes to the semantics for plain literals that would be useful to have ([ANN] Jena 3.0.0). Is there any timing for the availability of a Jena 3 kit?

            Dear Donald,

            Thanks for pointing out mismatches in the document. We have actually updated the document which unfortunately has not been released due to a different document release schedule. In the zip package, you can find a README file which has some setup information.

            We are looking into newer versions of Apache Jena and Fuseki. Once we have a newer version ready, we will post a note on the Forum. If you have a specific requirement, please contact Oracle Support or drop me an email offline (alan dot wu at oracle dot com).

            Note that the support of Joseki is included in this release because there are existing Oracle users using Joseki web service.

            Thanks,
