Hello my name is Elvet,
I have just recently completed a project at a national utility provider migrating an IBM product called Maximo to a newer release, migrating the database from Oracle 10gR2 to 12cR1 and the hardware platforms from the IBM Power6 processor to the new Power8 processor.
My Database experience covers Mainframe network and hierarchical databases to Informix, Progress, Sybase and Oracle. Started on Oracle 7.3.3 and have now progressed through to 12c. For a time I also conducted AIX training courses for IBM. When I think of the Rolls Royce or Best of Breed in terms of o/s and relational database management systems then IBM's AIX and Oracle spring to mind.
Joined OTN several years ago but only now I have decided to take full advantage of this facility to communicate with like minded people, share my experiences and learn from others.
I am a firm believer that no single person has the answers to everything but together we can solve the most challenging issues.
