          Hi,

This is a technical question and should be posted in a technical forum such as:

          General EBS Discussion

          Technology - General Discussion

          Technology Stack - EBS (MOSC)

Anyway, you should implement the workflow mailer:

            Thanks Bashar.

I have changed this discussion to General EBS discussion.

Once we configure Workflow mailer, any specific steps/function setup need to be followed?

            Regards,

            Krish

              Few point to help:

When you are configuring the Workflow Mailer for IMAP server, below are the 3 mandatory things which needs to be created prior configuring in application and if any of the below is not correct, you will encounter Validation error:

              1. WFUSER account and it password. This is Workflow user on IMAP server

              2. Email Address: Associated to above user account.

              3. 3 Valid folders on IMAP server user account.INBOX,PROCESS and DISCARD.

When i say WFUSER account, this is nothing but for Inbound Processing action like Approve/Rejection from email response to get captured and processed by mailer. For this we need the below:

IMAP server:On this you need to have an user account called WFUSER (name can vary) and associated this User a valid and dedicated email Account like in Reply to.

This user will have 3 folder INBOX,PROCESS and DISCARD.So all the inbound responses are captured initially in INBOX and then accordingly processed by mailer. Then it goes to either PROCESS( mean successfully processed by mailer and notification status like Approved should be shown with application) or goes to DISCARD if the notification response is INVALID (Not processed)

The basic flow involved in the Inbound Mailer processing is as follows:

                  1. Workflow Notification Mailer's inbound thread reads the response e-mail from IMAP inbox. It

then parses the content and identifies the notification id using NID string in the response e-mail

and it identifies the response it expects. Using this information it parses the e-mail and finds

out the response value. Using this information it builds a XML message under event name

oracle.apps.wf.notification.receive event and enqueues to WF_NOTIFICATION_IN.

                  2. Workflow Inbound Notifications Agent Listener listens to WF_NOTIFICATION_IN agent dispatches

event oracle.apps.wf.notification.receive that executes WF_XML.RECEIVE rule function. This rule

function parses the response XML and applies the response value to the corresponding notification.

It then calls WF_NOTIFICATION.Respond that completes the Notification Activity and the complete

flow following the Notification Activity till a blocking activity is encountered.

Thanks Ajith for you valuable inputs.

Have requested sysadmin for the credentials. They are working on the configuration part.

                Will keep updated.

                Regards,

                Krish
