      Hi,

I'm trying to build this requirement i hope anyone can guide me.

      Table:  Employee

      Employee id

      Hire Date

      101

      07/01/2015

      102

      07/01/2015

      103

      07/01/2015

      104

      07/02/2015

      105

      07/02/2015

      106

      07/03/2015

      Table:  Emp_Jobs

      Employee ID

      Job Type

      Date worked

      101

      Type1

      07/01/2015

      101

      Type2

      07/02/2015

      101

      Type1

      07/02/2015

      101

      Type3

      07/01/2015

      101

      Type1

      07/03/2015

      102

      Type1

      07/01/2015

      102

      Type3

      07/02/2015

      103

      Type1

      07/01/2015

      104

      Type5

      07/01/2015

      104

      Type6

      07/01/2015

Prompts selected:  Hire Date 07/01/2015 – 07/02/2015 , Date Worked:  not selected

Report 1:  Number of Employee within Date range: 2  (No Filters except Hire Date)

Used Logical column:  Count (Employee.Employee id)

Report2:  Number of Employee who worked only 2 times

      Emp_jobs.Employee id, count(emp_jobs.employee id)

Filters:  Hire Date is prompted, count(emp_jobs.employee id) =2

      Result:  2 (Employee id’s – 102, 104)

Report 3:  Number of Employee who worked only 2 times and  Job type Prompted (Type1)

Filters: Hire Date prompted, count(emp_jobs.employee id) =2, Job type prompted

      Result: 1 (Employee id – 102)

But, user needs Report 3 results by report 1 results.  (1/3) – 33.3%

      And, columns as:

Report 1 result column, Report 3 Result column, Percentage

But, here filters are different. For report 1 I’m prompting only Hire Date.  For Report3 – I have other 2 conditions Count(emp_jobs.employee id) =2 and Job Type is prompted.

How to achieve the o/p ?

I don't really understand your question but I'll have a guess. Is your problem that you've got 3 reports on a dashboard and a dashboard prompt should only affect 1 (or some) of the reports/analyses? If so you can go into the analysis that you don't want to be filtered and set the filter condition to be 'protected' (in the setting when you set up or edit the filter) which will stop it from being affected by dashboard prompts.

1.It looks like you could use the "Combine Similar request"

2.Use The same SubjectArea 3 times, plug in your corresponding filters.

            3. Throw in the Pivot table

            4. Do your calculation (%)

I would like to build Report 1 analysis and Report 3 analysis together as one report with 2 different columns.

One column should reflect with few prompts.

Another column should reflect with few other prompts.

              Example:

Report 1 Column:  Total Number of Employees (Formulae:  Count(Employee id) )    Prompts used:  Hire Date  Result Got:  2

Report 3 Column:  Total Number of Employees worked only 2 jobs with job type  (Formuale:  Count(Employee id))  Filters used:  Count(Employee id) =2 and Hire Date prompted and Job type Prompted.   Result:  1

But user looking for Layout as :  Report 3 Result Column  , Report 1 Result column, Report 3/ Report 1 Result column

I tried using Filter function but it is not working it doesn't reflect the results. As, Report 3 is Grouped by Employee id. Where as for Report 1 we dont require group by.

Is there any other option - to store the results of report1 and report 3 in different variables or bringing results to another report.
