The messages displayed in the output file are as part of the standard functionality in Oracle Alerts. These message indicate the actions that are performed while the alert is being run. You can ignore these messages since the alert functionality is not present as part of the output of this program where as in performing other actions like sending emails, running a sql script etc.
When we run Alerts in the upgraded instance, we get these messages:
