    Is EBS Multi-tenant?

      Hi ALL,

      EBS R12.2.4

      OEL 6

      Amazon Cloud.

We plan to sell(for rent) manage services of EBS cloud to small/medium business.

For as low as 1 user rental per hour, the customer can use our cloud EBS.

They do not have to buy license or servers but only rent per hour. Since we will be the one buying the license.

My question is, can I setup many different companies in one EBS instance?

      Thanks a lot,

I don't think so you can do that. I did not hear that as of now. Because function 2 different clients would have to treat as sub companies of parent company and it may not work.

but yes Database 12 is certified with Oracle EBS.

Well, I am not really talking the 12c multitenancy, but rather the EBS being a multitenant.

We can treat them as under a top1 company(dummy) and independently working on its own as sub company?

that you can do but it would be very costly and impractical, rather than hosting different instances for each client. And legal part, I cant say anything about it.

I have seen some companies having one entity on top and other entities belonging to the first one and they are using a single license that covers all the companies.

AFAIK, as long as you pay the license for your actual usage then you should be in the safe side.

Contact Oracle salesrep or account manager for a definitive answer.

                  Hi Bashar, Pravin and ALL.

Can you help me with my other post please

I still can not install the missing RPMs.

I have this error if I install this one:

                  # yum install glibc-devel-2.12-1.7.el6.i686

                  Loaded plugins: ulninfo

Its better to use the pre-install RPM provided by the Oracle Repository for the specific release. bcoz its everything and does everything..
