I checked my database alert log, but I see lots of .trm files.

I also checked the alert logs and I saw errors:

ORA-00020: maximum number of processes (200) exceeded

ORA-20 errors will not be written to the alert log for

the next minute. Please look at trace files to see all

          the ORA-20 errors.

To think that there is only one user using the instance now?

How can she gets 200 processes used up?

How can this table SYS.WRM$_SNAPSHOT_DETAILS get affected and run out of space?

          Thanks a lot.

            For .trm files check below

What is .trm file in oracle 11g?

The wrh$ AWR tables store important historical statistical information about the database in the form of periodic snapshots.
Each snapshot is a capture of the in–memory x$ fixed view and other control structures at a certain point in time.
Each of the AWR table names is prefixed with wrm$ (Metadata tables), wrh$ (History tables), or wri$ (Advisory tables).

The wrm$ tables store metadata information for the Workload Repository.
The wrh$ tables store historical data or snapshots.
The wri$ tables: These 49 tables store data related to advisory functions.

ORA-00020: maximum number of processes (200) exceeded

By default there would be many sessions created for EBS though only one user is logged.

            Please increase the processes count.

            regards

            Pravin

              Thanks Pravin,

How do I purge AWR historical data so my SYSAUX  tablespace wont get full?

I do not use AWR anyway, can I turn it OFF  and turn it ON when I want to use it?

                Hi,

Regarding the processes issue, it seems that you did not apply the critical patches in section 8 of this document:

Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2.4 Readme (Doc ID 1617458.1)

The 4 patches in the first point handles this problem.

                Regards,

                Bashar

                  Bashar.

You better increase the size of the SYSAUX tablespace even if you purged the old data.

It is used by different functions in the database.

                  Regards,

                  Bashar
