Last Login Time for user..Need in View

      Hi,

Without an application/DB using an audit trigger function to see when a user last logged in the the DB, is there a v$ view or DBA view where I can see when a user last logged in?

          Hi,

I use to work for CSC

In 10g Oracle samples v$session every sec (ASH) and we can query dba_hist_active_sess_history for an historic view of this and potentially last logon times for you users, other than that I don't think Oracle stores this, you could also hack login.sql to produce a file upon login like !touch userid

Tha'ts pretty cool...Rumor has it that CSC might get bought out by some US firm and lay off about 4000 people.

The version I am running 8.1.7 and I know the db does not store this, but I just wanted to check one last time if there was a way other than creating a Audit Trigger. Oh well, the user who is requesting this will be out of luck. I understand about the login.sql script but honestly...too much work for me to do when the user can do it himself...they are developers:)
