Question on JAX-RPC Java Web Services

I am just learning about JAX-RPC Web Services. According to one of the responses here, AS 10g 10.1.2 does not support the JAX-RPC web service created in JDeveloper 10.1.3. Does it support the JAX-RPC web service created in JDeveloper 10.1.2? If so, does it have any limitations? Can you give an example (how-to) of creating a JAX-RPC web service in JDeveloper 10.1.2? I found the article, Creating Web Services with J2EE1.4 which takes you to Publish a JAX-RPC Java Web Service. Is this the best example to follow even though it is for JDeveloper 10g 9.0.5?
