Jeff, thanks for the response. I wasn't aware of the task progress view. While that is helpful, it still requires that the view be open or visible in addition to the existing views. Would it be possible to change the color of the tab, or the color of icon on the tap, or add an icon on the tab to indicate that a query is running? Then when the query is complete, the tab could revert back to the standard color / display.
I used to use that frog query tool and it added a small circular icon to the tab while the query was running. The circular icon would disappear when the query was complete. That served as a visual indicator without having to toggle between tabs to check the status.
just always leave it open, but minimize it..then when you want to know what's going on, mouse over it to check - that way we don't have to decorate the desktop up like a christmas tree with blinking lights and other junk
that's our current philosophy anyhow...
