    OBIEE 11.1.1.7.1 - Cannot startall with opmnctl - failed to start a managed process after the maximum retry limit

    rysalka

      Hello, we are on Enterprise OBIEE. I have searched and googled and tried everything I could think of to fix this, no luck. We changed LDAP authenticator (name and password), restarted Weblogic, Managed server and did opmnctl stopall. The latter did not start one of the services:

      opmnctl startall: starting opmn and all managed processes...

      ================================================================================

      opmn id=xxxxxxxx.es.gwu.edu:9501

      Response: 4 of 5 processes started.

      Per many threads on here I tried the following:

      1. Resart opmnctl individually rather than stopall - no change

      2. Start nodeManager first, then startWebLogic, then start Managed server from GUI and then opmnctl startall - no change

      3. Delete all log files and then startall - no change

      4. Copy sawguidstate and sawguidstate.atr from working instance of BI Publisher to this instance, restart - no change

      5. Completely delete them (#4), restart - no change (copied them back afterwards).

      What else can I do? We cannot login to BI Publisher to run reports, we can login to Enterprise Manager and see that OracleBIPresentation is down and we can login to Weblogic.

      ./opmnctl status -l
