Processor Perpetual?

Can someone offer me a clear definition of what Processor Perpetual is? my installation as per license invoice is Oralce Database Standard Edition - Processor Perpetual

my company is in a bind right now and our license/support renewal is due soon. will Oracle continue to run past the license renewal date? company might need some breathing room :)
