                I do not know what is our SMTP server usually the default is the same as the apps server .

                Is there a command to list or find the SMTP server?

                Thanks all....

                  Hi

                  System Administrator>OAM>Workflow Manager

                  Instead of starting action just click on Java Workflow Mailer. It will list all details about SMTP and IMAP servers

                  SMTP -- server is outgoing server (Send email) and IMAP is incoming server.

                  regards

                  Pravin

                    Thanks,

                    Yeah we use SMTP only and no IMAP. Usually in UAT I get test emails from functional users. But now in PROD instance, I do  not receive mails, maybe  it is down.

                    Can I copy the setup in UAT? or CRP?

                          Hi ALL,

                          I set up workflow mailer months ago. I was able to do it by posting here some notes to use,  but I can not find my post

                          It is very hard to find the topics posted here, as it will set back to page 1 even you are already browsed 10th page

                          I been searching for those notes before.

                          Can you share me noted on how to set up workflow mailer notification?

                          I did the following:

                          ================

                          Solution

                          It is very important to perform all the steps mentioned below; they will allow to perform the telnet SMTP test from the right node and to pass the correct values during the test.

                          1) Identify the concurrent tiers node where mailer runs by running script below:

                          SQL> select target_node from fnd_concurrent_queues where concurrent_queue_name like 'WFMLRSVC%';

                          TARGET_NODE

                          ------------------------------

                          APPSCRP

                          In this example APPSCRP is the node where java mailer runs.

                          2) Gather other parameters values necessary for the SMTP telnet test:

                          To perform the SMTP telnet test, in addition to mailer node, you will also need to know on which node is the SMTP server (this is mailer "outbound server" parameter), and what is the reply to address that is set up for the java mailer (this is mailer "reply to" parameter).

                          To get these values run the following:

                          SQL>

                            1  SELECT b.component_name,

                            2         c.parameter_name,

                            3         a.parameter_value

                            4  FROM fnd_svc_comp_param_vals a,

                            5       fnd_svc_components b,

                            6       fnd_svc_comp_params_b c

                            7  WHERE b.component_id = a.component_id

                            8       AND b.component_type = c.component_type

                            9       AND c.parameter_id = a.parameter_id

                          10       AND c.encrypted_flag = 'N'

                          11       AND b.component_name like '%Mailer%'

                          12       AND c.parameter_name in ('OUTBOUND_SERVER', 'REPLYTO')

                          13* ORDER BY c.parameter_name

                          ==============================================================================

                          Workflow Notification Mailer >  OUTBOUND_SERVER > appscrp.oracle.com.ph

                          Workflow Notification Mailer >  REPLYTO > changeOnJavaMailerInstall

                          In this example the outbound server is on appscrp.oracle.amti.com.ph node and the reply to address is set to changeOnJavaMailerInstall.

                          3) Perform the SMTP telnet test as follows:

                          3.1) Log on to the node where mailer runs (to identify it, please refer to step 1)

                          This is mandatory. SMTP telnet test is only meaningful when it is performed from the concurrent tier where mailer runs.

                          In our example you should log to APPSCRP node.

                          3.2) From mailer node, issue the following commands one by one:

                          telnet appscrp.oracle.com.ph 25

                          EHLO APPSCRP

                          MAIL FROM: changeOnJavaMailerInstall

                          I do not understand > 3.2) From mailer node, issue the following commands one by one.

                          It says to type one by one? how can it run in unix?

                          Is the appstier node is also the mailer node?
