Single node Database Pre-install checks running for 2 hours.

Having failed my first Oracle EBS install on a 16 core 16 gig VM, due to lack of sufficient filesystem space, I have added a new virtual drive of 900 GB, and have mounted it to /d01 with full read write perms on an OEL 7 OS.

Previous install failed Pre-install checks relatively quickly (10 minutes or so), but this Pre-install check has been running for 2 hours now, with no updates.

These checks might take a few minutes...

The computer is allocating mem and CPU to the gnome, java, and Xorg processes, but I would have expected to see an update by now.

Is there a log somewhere that will tell me if it's actively doing anything, or if it's stuck?

Is there a proper protocol for wiping a system before trying a new install from a new staging area?
