I am not looking at clone using AMP. I am looking at SNAP CLONE using EM 12c, ZFS or netapp.
One master clone from PROD while smaller footprint clones out of this master clone.
WE have over 8 non-prod clones and provision disk for all of them. Using Snap clone we will save on the disk foot print and clone times.
Does this work for EBS or only for general purpose databases.
SnapClone in any NAS filesystems is around for quite a bit of time now. The issue was with SAN but there has been a recent advancement on that and Pete Sharman has a pretty good blog on that. Check the below -
This is the data sheet which mentioned about the E-Business Suite http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/oem/cloud-mgmt/ds-dbaas-snapclone-022514-2157613.pdf
For licensing and deeper tech details I'd strongly suggest you contact your Oracle Rep.
EBS does not care how the copies of the database tier and app tier are made in the Rapid Clone process, as long as they are consistent copies. You will have to run pre-clone, followed by copying the database and database/app tier binaries using whatever method you wish, followed by post-clone.
Has anyone tried using snap clone feature for oracle EBS instances.
We are on 12.1.3 EBS and 126.96.36.199 database,( database being in the middle of upgrade to 188.8.131.52)
We have a huge foot print of ORACLE EBS,
Will it work for ORACLE ebs''
Can some one tell us all the licenses involved in getting this rolling
