Unable to Login to EBS 12.1.3 as SYSADMIN user

    Tim K.

      Hi,

We're currently running EBS 12.1.3 on AIX 7.1.  Our database is 11.2.0.4.  This is a single node installation.

We have just started to hit an error logging into the EBS R12.1.3 as the SYSADMIN user.  All other users seem unaffected.   When we attempt to login we are receiving

      Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request

The OACORE application log file is showing:

We are able to login directly via the forms servlet as the SYSADMIN user, and, all other users are not reporting this issue.  We've tried resetting the SYSADMIN password using FNDCPASS, and we've significantly increased the database processes parameter.

This issue appears to just affect the SYSADMIN user using the OAHOMEPAGE.  Any ideas where I might go with this?

          Have you checked

            Hi Pravin,

            Thanks for your response.

Yes, we've checked that note, and as a result we've increased the processes parameter.

            select * from v$resource_limit where resource_name in ('processes','sessions');

            RESOURCE_NAME                  CURRENT_UTILIZATION MAX_UTILIZATION INITIAL_AL LIMIT_VALU

            ------------------------------ ------------------- --------------- ---------- ----------

            processes                                      716             749       3000       3000

            sessions                                       733             794       4532       4532

Unfortunately, we're still getting the error.

            Regards,

            Tim.

If the issue with one user "SYSADMIN" then you need to validate this account. Have you done any changes related to SYSADMIN recently?

What's the output of "select fnd_web_sec.validate_login('SYSADMIN','<SYSADMIN PASSWORD>') from dual;"?

Can you change SYSADMIN password using FNDCPASS and see if this helps?

Any errors in the database alert log file?

              Thanks,

              Hussein

                Hi Hussein,

                Thanks for your response.

The only change we have made with the SYSADMIN user is to change the password using FNDCPASS.  We have performed this operation again, after we saw the error.

The output from select fnd_web_sec.validate_login('SYSADMIN','<SYSADMIN PASSWORD>') from dual; is 'Y', so we look good there.  The SYSADMIN user is not end dated, and the SYSADMIN user can log in directly using the forms servlet, http://host:port/forms/frmservlet?form_params=+config=<dbc filename>

We don't see any errors in the database alert.log file.

                We still see the issue.

                Regards,

                Tim.
