Is there a way to format the labels of graph in a view so it get information from another place instead of the graph axis?
My case is the following:
I have a table made of three sets of three columns, like the following example (hypothetical values):
State_s1 Date_s1 Total_s1 State_s2 Date_s2 Total_s2 State_s3 Date_s3 Total_s3
AL 01/12/2015 3 AL 01/01/2016 5 AL 01/02/2016 2
AK 01/12/2015 12 AK 01/01/2016 10 AK 01/02/2016 45
AR 01/12/2015 120 AR 01/01/2016 40 AR 01/02/2016 1
CA 01/12/2015 20 CA 01/01/2016 1 CA 01/02/2016 80
CO 01/12/2015 7 CO 01/01/2016 0 CO 01/02/2016 39
CT 01/12/2015 266 CT 01/01/2016 578 CT 01/02/2016 700
I want the graph to display the totals of a state over the three different dates; like so:
Total | _5_ ■ Date_s1 (column result)
(over- | | | ■ Date_s2 (column result)
written | | | ■ Date_s3 (column result)
text) | _3_ | |
| | | | | _2_
| | | | | | |
Dates (overwritten text)
The table is a result of an advanced SQL instruction.
The problem I'm facing is that this graph is not actually a cross between Total and Date (If I put Date on the x axis or not is irrelevant; and even if I put it the legends still show Total_s1, Total_s2 and Total_s3). I would like to know if there's a way to edit the XML of the legend section so I overwrite it with data from another column.
If there's a easier way to achieve it also let me know, because I already tried many combinations of the measures, columns and hierarchies on the bars and axis and I got no result.
Thanks in advance and sorry for the poor english; it's not my mother language.
