    R12 Apps User Question

    Jack Hawk

My company is working with a contractor to auto-generate time cards in Oracle Applications R12 based on data from another system.

We have created a DB-level login for the contractor, assigning privileges to that account to limit what they can see/do in the database. However, after many rounds of granting privileges, digging through DBA_SOURCE to find additional objects they need access to, and testing, we either keep missing object privileges or apps user access is truly needed.

      I'm curious if

      1. a pseudo-apps user could even be created,

      2. there is a best-practice for this kind of scenario, and

      3. we should fall back to our NDA and turn over the apps user credentials to the contractor.

      Many thanks!
