          Hi,

The document you mentioned is not related to EBS!

Anyway, you can stop the application after you run AutoConfig.

Just wondering, why did you start a new discussion?!

          Regards,

            Bashar Thank you.

            You are kind.

That document is for Oracle Applications 11i. Isn't it for EBS ? What is EBS then ?

Why will I want to stop application after I run  Autoconfig ?

Can you give a clear answer please ? Should I stop application or not ?

            it is said :

            2. Stop server processes.

            3. Run adautocfg.sh.

            Best regards.

              You are welcome!

It is a database related document.

OpenVMS: ORA-1115 IO ERROR READING BLOCK FROM FILE (Doc ID 165191.1)

Since you made changes to the context file, they will not be picked up until you restart the services. Therefore, you must restart the application to see the effects.

The approach in the maintenance procedures document is the safe approach.

However, usually it does not affect the running application if you only changed environment variables related parameters.

                Bashar,

                Really thank you.

I stopped application and ran adautocfg.sh. Then restarted application.

Apologize there was a typo in that document number. The right one is 165195.1

                Best regards.
