We don't have a GUI for that workflow. You'll have to add via COMMENT command in the SQL Worksheet.
You can add comments to the view itself with the Edit dialog.
On the "Columns" tab, i can see comments listed for each field, but cannot see how to edit the comments.
That depends on the database you are using.
For Oracle use the COMMENT statement
COMMENTstatement to add to the data dictionary a comment about a table or table column, view, materialized view, operator, indextype, or mining model.
To drop a comment from the database, set it to the empty string ' '.
. . .
Creating Comments: Example To insert an explanatory remark on the
job_idcolumn of the
employeestable, you might issue the following statement:
COMMENT ON COLUMN employees.job_id IS 'abbreviated job title';
And, here's how to retrieve a comment from a view-field in SQL:
SELECT COMMENTS FROM SYS.USER_COL_COMMENTS WHERE TABLE_NAME = 'MyViewName' AND COLUMN_NAME = 'MyFieldName';
