We have a requirement from client to have a second approval level for all purchase orders above £30,000. The business requires the ‘second’ approval takes place after the Hierarchy approver has approved the purchase order when the value is under Director level (£200,000) on the Hierarchy.
We are on 11.5.10 version of eBusiness Suite and using Standard PO approval hierarchy. Can anyone confirm if it's possible to achieve above requirement without customising PO approval workflow?
i can't think of a way to do this without customization...the Approval Groups look only at dollar amount so as long as person approving has sufficient $ amount to approve the PO, the canned functionality is going to complete the approval once they've approved it. Now, the approver could always manually forward it on to someone else for approval, but that is not an optimal situation as it gets forgotten, and also how would they know who to forward it to.
This might be possible with AME, but that is only available for POs from 12.1.3 forward.
