Autoreplace

Hello,

I understand that SQL Developer has code templates and how it works, but still I'm really missing this functionality and I would be really glad if it would be possible to define strings that are being automatically replaced (the same way like in TOAD or PL/SQL developer).

There is quite an old feature request https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=43135:7:2027375599392::NO:RP,7:P7_ID:18641 requesting exactly what I mean. The developer comment is "We do have code templates which may help you a bit in the meantime.". So I would just like to ask if it is on a "roadmap" and if not, is it possible to somehow achieve this functionality (a plugin or something...).

Checkbox "Autoreplace template keys" has been added to Code Editor Templates Panel. If checked in it replaces all recognized template ids. (The ids within comments or within identifiers are not replaced). This amendment is scheduled for 4.2.

Hi Vadim,
thanks a lot, that's a great news. Predefined Emacs keyboard shortcuts together with autoreplace features... Absolutely perfect, with no doubt the best and most productive DB IDE out there.
