1. WHAT you do
2. HOW you do it
3. WHAT results you get
Do it with a table that only has ONE row
Start SQL Developer
Connect to Oracle DB
Oracle: CREATE TABLE test (col1 VARCHAR2(1 CHAR));
MS: CREATE TABLE test (col1 NVARCHAR(1));
MS: INSERT INTO test (col1) VALUES ('Y');
MS: SELECT * FROM test;
Right click on MS table test.
Choose "Copy to Oracle"
Select destination as my Oracle DB, tick include data, Append.
Msg > Copy to Oracle finished.
Oracle: SELECT * FROM test.
It works. I hate it when a plan comes together.
I obviously forgot the first (and only) lesson from The IT Guys.
Thanks, I should have restarted yesterday.
