When I connect (with a user without system privileges) to a database with SQL Developer I get an ORA-00942 in the database alert log. The query that fails:
select inst_count from (select count(*) inst_count from gv$database) where inst_count > 1
Has anyone experienced the same issue? SQL Developer doesn't throw an error.
I use SQL Developer version 22.214.171.124.
Nothing to worry about here. SQL Developer is just trying to check if you have a multi-instance (RAC) database.
Try View > Log and look at the Statements - Log to see the SQL getting sent to the DB. This assumes you use the JDBC thin driver, not OCI/Thick with Oracle client software.
