Unfortunately, It is not possible to add a new column to LOV using forms personalization. It is possible to only change the record group query via personalization.
This is documented in the following note:
How To Add One More Column In LOV (Doc ID 2133532.1)
You can not add column, but we can remove existing column and display new column or we can concatenate that new column to existing column by using form personalization.
Hi Jagadekara ,
could u please tell me how i can replace / concatenate existing columns in respective LOV , i tried via Trace File but failed and i also tried FND_KEY_FLEX.DEFINE but no success..
Thanksssssssssss in advance for help
Which version you are using?, because in R12.1.3 we have Item and Description only in Item Number field lov.
Just open that .fmb and go to that item in respective block. Check lov name
Then in lov go to lov wizard for that lov and go to query and copy it.
Then modify according to your requirement.
Then create form personalization with the help of that query.
Hope it will help you...
hehehheeheehe Jagadekara if this will simple like above i'll never post in community . Last solution i am trying that custom.pll
I checked and I too not able to find LOV actual query from that .fmb.
Query coming dynamically from pl sql libraries.
If we got the actual query,then we can do this through form personalization.
Not sure whether that will work or not.
Yup,now u got it, i am trying to do with custom.pll if i done thek i'll post it as whole.
Sorrryyyy guyz, there is no way to add / remove column from that LOV you can only restrict via custom.pll like below code
if (event_name = 'RESTRICT_ITEM_LOV') then
alloc_order := name_in('PO_REQ_HDR.ATTRIBUTE1');
fnd_key_flex.update_definition (BLOCK => 'LINES',
FIELD => 'ITEM_NUMBER',
ENABLED => 'Y',
WHERE_CLAUSE => '( INVENTORY_ITEM_ID in (Select B.Item_Id From Po_Lesco_Allocation_Header_All A,Po.Po_Lesco_Allocation_Lines B Where A.Header_Id = B.Header_Id And A.Allocation_Order_Number = '''||alloc_order||''')'||')'
I went through the same situation before and I was ended with the same conclusion. That's why my first reply was that it is not possible to add columns
Actually I was following this thread because I just wished there is any way to achieve this for our customer benefit as well.
