    Rman & No Manager Error

    Beauty_and_dBest

      Hi ALL,

      EBS R12.1.3

      11gR1

      OL6

      I checked our daily RMAN backup and I found out that it has error for months now, due to FRA size 100Gb limit reached

      I forgot to check it daily, and now I found out I do not have backup for since May 28.

      Can you share me script to email me whenever RMAN backup is not successful?

      Also a script to notify me by email if there is "No Manager" error in our iCM, which users often encounter when running reports.

      Kind regards,

      jc

          Hi

          You can schedule below script to get rman log on email

          DATE_NOW=$(date '+%d_%m_%C%y')

          TIME_NOW=$(date +"%H.%M")

          LOG=/s01/oracle/PROD/scripts/logs/${DATE_NOW}-${TIME_NOW}.log

          BACKUP_DIR=/s01/BACKUP/PROD_${DATE_NOW}

          date > ${LOG}

          mkdir ${BACKUP_DIR}

          rman << EOF >> ${LOG} 2>&1

          connect target

          run{

          CONFIGURE DEVICE TYPE DISK PARALLELISM 2 BACKUP TYPE TO COMPRESSED BACKUPSET;

          ALLOCATE CHANNEL disk1 DEVICE TYPE DISK MAXPIECESIZE = 2G FORMAT '${BACKUP_DIR}/                                                                                        prod_db_df%t_s%s_s%p';

          ALLOCATE CHANNEL disk2 DEVICE TYPE DISK MAXPIECESIZE = 2G FORMAT '${BACKUP_DIR}/                                                                                        prod_db_df%t_s%s_s%p';

          CROSSCHECK COPY OF ARCHIVELOG ALL;

          BACKUP DATABASE PLUS ARCHIVELOG;

          BACKUP CURRENT CONTROLFILE FORMAT '${BACKUP_DIR}/prod_cf_df%t_s%s_s%p';

          SQL "alter database backup controlfile to trace as ''${BACKUP_DIR}/Controlfile_B                                            ackup_Trace.trc''";

          SQL "create pfile=''${BACKUP_DIR}/initTEST.ora'' from spfile";

          BACKUP SPFILE TO DESTINATION '${BACKUP_DIR}';

          delete noprompt expired archivelog all;

          CROSSCHECK ARCHIVELOG ALL;

          }

          exit

          EOF

          STATUS=$?

          date >> ${LOG}

          if [[ ${STATUS} != 0 ]]; then

            mailx  -s "RMAN Script ${SCRIPT} Failed for TEST " it@xxxx.com < ${LOG} > /                                                                                        dev/null 2>&1

          fi

          exit ${STATUS}

          For concurrent you can check below query in backend or you can schedule:
