    happy10319

      Hi,

On R12.2.4 on AIX DB 11.2.0.4

on system (Patch and Run file system) there are several  adstrtal.sh scripts.

Any difference to run one or another to start system ?

If yes  Which one should be run ?

      Thanks.

          Hello,

You should always run adstrtal/adstpal.sh from the run file system. Patch file system should not be used for startting stopping application in R12.2.

Please navigate to $ADMIN_SCRIPTS_HOME and there should be adstrtal.sh which you need to run in order to start services.

Let me know if this helps you with your question.

          Thanks, Nishant

            Hi,

You should first initialize the run file system environment.

            <EBS_ROOT>/EBSapps.env run

Then, run the start/stop scripts as follows:

            $ADMIN_SCRIPTS_HOME/adstrtal.sh

            $ADMIN_SCRIPTS_HOME/adstpall.sh

            Regards,

            Bashar

              Thanks to all.

If adstrtall.sh.is ran, how can we verify if it is from patch or from run file system ?

If it is from patch what is the bad consequence ?

              Regards.

                Hi

Please run autoconfig , it will recreate the scripts under $ADMIN_SCRIPTS_HOME

you can check run/patch file system by checking as echo $FILE_EDITION

if you tried to start services from patch file system it will error out.

                Regards

                Shaik
