Oracle ASM not loading after reboot

Royce DanielAug 22 2016 — edited Sep 27 2016

Hi All,

I have configured ORACLE ASm using iscsi and successfully create ASM disks.

But after rebooting when i hit oracleasm listdisks it is not comming up

until i give oracleasm scandisks.

when I checked the var/log/oracleasm I I got the error /dev/fd0 no such device.

so i have edited /etc/sysconfig/oracleasm and added scanexclude..

then I got the below from /var/log/oracleasm

Creating /dev/oracleasm mount point: /dev/oracleasm

Loading module "oracleasm": oracleasm

Configuring "oracleasm" to use device physical block size

Mounting ASMlib driver filesystem: /dev/oracleasm

Reloading disk partitions: done

Cleaning any stale ASM disks...

Scanning system for ASM disks...

Can anyone advice ?

Thanks,

Royce Daniel Mathew
