We basically made X amount of landing pages for each phase:
Now to give you an example of the preference center: Preference Centre
This is build in Eloqua. (as you can see by URL)
Now this translates to a lot of programs and a few columns for each preference, and what kind of news they would like to receive.
Don't know nothing about CSS though, but hope this helps to give you an idea.
We've worked with custom subscription centers since many customers want something a bit more fancy than the Eloqua out-of-the-box subscription center. As Robert outlined, it does require a series of contact fields, programs and perhaps email groups to accomplish what you're hoping to do.
We can provide a time estimate to help out since you're running short on resources. It'll be better if we get on the phone and have you walk us through your use cases, this way we'll be able to provide an estimate/solution based on what you're looking for.
Here is our email info@4ThoughtMarketing.com and phone (1-888-356-7824). If you prefer to send us a private message and have us call you than that could also work.
Talk to you soon!
Never really got back to your latest reply. Actually I am they guy within our company who needs to get a hold of this so I can build this feature at our clients instances as well. Unfortunatly there is little information on topliners or oracle documentation about the kind of programs I should create. And since the Ootb management portal in E10 does not function properly it has become a difficult task. Still I think I can manage. Once I have a proper solution I will post it here.
Hi, Mike. Just curious if you ever ended up fixing your problem? I had issues with the Ootb offering too and built a preference center instead, but still not sure this is the best option. I'd love to hear what you ended up doing!
well I have to admit that the solution Chris provided was kinda difficult for me at that point to implement, so I just created a landingpage that notifies someone that unsubscribes of his/her unsubscription. If you want to sign up again I link to the OotB portal (so a visually unatractive portal).
I guess what you have done actually is the best solution there is. I just din't find time to work it out and create a custom portal.
Thanks for the honesty! We've actually decided to start off using the OotB portal b/c of the timeline for our first campaign launch. I'd like to move to the preference center solution at some point!
If i do make some steps sometimes, I will try to post my solutions in this topic. Good luck!
