Did you review the past history of this program? Please check start/completion time of previous program and user priority.
Do you sense any incompatible with other program(s) currently running.
What is the Programe status before it is picked for running? Normal/ Standby/ Waiting
Check on your Sleep Seconds value. Navigation: Concurrent Managers->Work Shifts-> Standard Manager (or any manager your requests runs from, sometimes several) Check on Sleep Seconds value - setup as needed. Let know if it is helpful
Is this happening for all programs or for the specific program ?
If it is specific to the above program, then request could have any incompatibilities and those programs might be running when the request was submited.
Hence, it could have been delayed.

Navigation: Concurrent Managers->Work Shifts-> Standard Manager
Was it stuck in Pending/Normal (OR) Pending/Standby ?
1. Pending/Normal is a normal situation. As soon as a concurrent manager is available, this request will be picked up for processing.If it stays in the same status for longer time, then indicates that there is insufficient number of process. you may increase number of process you can reduce the time of pending/normal. Ensure you have sufficient RAM/CPU before increasing number of process as it will have additional load on your system.
It is waiting at conflict resolution manager (CRM ).
I) Either it could be due to CRM. Reduce the sleep time of CRM. (OR)
II) Check any incompatible program is running longer time.
You can use the below Navigation to set the incompatibility for the concurrent program.
SYSADMIN > Concurrent > Program > Define > Query the program > Incompatibilities
It opens another screen where you need to enter the same program name. This means, this program is incompatible with any other program. If any of the incompatible program runs, then this program will remain stay as pending/standby .
3. Check for any known performance issue for which there is a patch / fix. If you apply relevant patch , it picks up faster.
