possibility of configuring two SOA domains as failover/HA environment

    3318993

      Hi All,

We are planning to have two SOA domains across two data centres. Both the domains will have its own schemas.

Is it possible to configure these two SOA domains as failover/HA environment.

What are the pros and cons of its?

      Thanks

      Regards,

      Ramesh

Yes this is possible, What this requires possibly...

          1. Create some tool which can keep updating data from primary DC side to other DC side. (rsynch or daemon jobs), figure out which all storage (directories need to be synched, DB and MT both)

DB setup possibly cascade DB setup.

          2. Run the templatizer to change MT side artifacts on other DC side, (like config file will have the host name entries)

          3. Last DNS push to other DC using same application url.

Note : There will be some downtime for DNS push depends what networks setup you have.
