      Hi ALL,

      OEL/RHEL6

      EBS R12.1.3

      11gR1

      I have done FRESH install of 2 instances   UAT1  and UAT2  on the same server.

      Then I followed the following post-install task for Oel/Rhel6:

      Moderator Edit - deleted contents of MOS Doc 761566.1

      I applied above steps on both UAT1 and UAT2 instances.

      When I run >$ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/clone/adlnktools.sh   in UAT1 in was successful.

      But when I run >$ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/clone/adlnktools.sh   in UAT2  it was not successful with the following error

          Hi jc,

          Please open $ORACLE_HOME/bin/OracleAS_Relink_Patch.sh and see what you OH value is at the top.  It appears Autoconfig may have left the default from rapidwiz there.

          You also may need to set LD_EMULATION=i386

            Is this a cloned environment?  Did it clone properly  I am assuming that the following directory is not correct?

            /d2/R12/ab/apps/R1211XB9/apps/tech_st/10.1.2/install

            I have a couple ideas:

            1)  Run sed command on all files in this directory to replace /d2/R12/ab/apps/R1211XB9/apps/tech_st/10.1.2/install with the correct directory.

            2)  If you just want a quick fix/hack just to move forward, create a softlink from

            mkdir -p /d2/R12/ab/apps/R1211XB9

            cd /d2/R12/ab/apps/R1211XB9

            ln -s /u02/apptest6/TEST6/apps apps

              Thanks Michael and Aldrich,

              Both the two instances are fresh install using the same startCD.

              Yes, it seems that the OH has wrong value? I wonder why the first instance has correct OH value, while the 2nd s not?

              $ORACLE_HOME/bin/OracleAS_Relink_Patch.sh

              =======================================

              #!/bin/sh

              OH=/d2/R12/ab/apps/R1211XB9/apps/tech_st/10.1.2

              ORACLE_HOME=$OH

              GCC=`which gcc`;

              SED=/bin/sed

              SCRIPT_LOG=$ORACLE_HOME/install/oracle_relink_patch.log

              SCRIPT_OUT=$ORACLE_HOME/install/oracle_relink_patch.out

              echo "" 2>&1 > $SCRIPT_LOG

              echo "" 2>&1 > $SCRIPT_OUT

              if [ ! -f $SED ]; then

                echo "$SED was not found on the system. $SED is required to execute this script" 2>&1 >> $SCRIPT_LOG

                echo "Skipping all operations"  2>&1 >> $SCRIPT_LOG

                exit 1;

              fi

              Actually, this is a training server.

              We have 5 Students installing Fresh EBS using the same startCD. I wonder why the two have correct OH home, while the other three got it wrong?

              Maybe during the rapidwiz install they forgot to change the default home.

              How do I correct  the three erroneous OH home now?

              I can not do the following, since this will work on one instance only. How about the others?

              2)  If you just want a quick fix/hack just to move forward, create a softlink from

              mkdir -p /d2/R12/ab/apps/R1211XB9

              cd /d2/R12/ab/apps/R1211XB9

              ln -s /u02/apptest6/TEST6/apps apps

              Please help...

              Kind regards,

                Hi jc,

                Just edit the line OH=/d2/R12/ab/apps/R1211XB9/apps/tech_st/10.1.2

                Make it point to your current location and for $ORACLE_HOME in the training environment and relink will work.  You will have to review the installation logs and autoconfig logs executed during the installation to determine why the installation failed to update the file.

                Regards,

                Michael
