    Health Check for EBS R12.2.4 Windows Server 2012 R2 64bit

    Beauty_and_dBest

      Hi ALL,

      EBS R12.2.4

      Windows Server 2012 R2 64bit

      We encountered performance degradation lately in our EBS system.

      I want to run health check Oracle OS Watcher Black Box Analyzer

      scripts on it.  Is OSWBB supported on windows server 2012?

      Or is there other tool counterpart for Windows servers?

      Please help....

      Kind regards,

      jc

          Hi jc,

          There is an OS Watcher for Windows.

          OS Watcher For Windows (OSWFW) User Guide (Doc ID 433472.1)

          Is this a cloud server?  Verify the IO speed by downloading HD Speed.

          HD_Speed - www.SteelBytes.com

          Calibrate the IO within the database if filesystemio_options is set to asynch or setall:

          ET SERVEROUTPUT ON

          DECLARE

                l_latency  PLS_INTEGER;

                l_iops     PLS_INTEGER;

                l_mbps     PLS_INTEGER;

              BEGIN

                 DBMS_RESOURCE_MANAGER.calibrate_io (num_physical_disks => 20,

                                                     max_latency        => 20,

                                                     max_iops           => l_iops,

                                                     max_mbps           => l_mbps,

                                                    actual_latency     => l_latency);

               DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line('Max IOPS = ' || l_iops);

               DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line('Max MBPS = ' || l_mbps);

               DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line('Latency  = ' || l_latency);

             END;

             /

          Cloud providers typically quote 2000 IOPS and 200 MBPS but only deliver 100 IOPS and 10-50 MBPS.

          Regards,

          Michael
