    R12.2. startup issue

    775371

      Hi,

I have EBS with one node DB (DBS) and 2 node APP ( APPS1 and APPS2)

         DB - 12.1.0.2 ,   Server(DBS)

         APP  - 12.2.5 ,

               Primary      - > APPS1  =  All service

               Secondary - > APPS2  = form/cm/web

Node, APPS1 crashed and now when I tried to start ( astrtall) from node 2 APPS2,

      adstrtall failed with below error

ERROR: Skipping startup of forms-c4ws_server2 since the AdminServer is down. AdminServer needs to be up before starting/stopping the managed servers.

ERROR: Skipping startup of oaea_server1 since the AdminServer is down. AdminServer needs to be up before starting/stopping the managed servers.

ERROR: Skipping startup of oafm_server2 since the AdminServer is down. AdminServer needs to be up before starting/stopping the managed servers.

ERROR: Skipping startup of forms_server2 since the AdminServer is down. AdminServer needs to be up before starting/stopping the managed servers.

ERROR: Skipping startup of oacore_server2 since the AdminServer is down. AdminServer needs to be up before starting/stopping the managed servers.

      adstrtal.sh: Exiting with status 1

How do I start apps without node 1? It is not possible without node 1

If your Node 1 is completely crashed and cannot be recovered or restarted, you need to turn Node 2 into a single node installation because you have to have the Weblogic AdminServer to start the managed servers as shown by the error messages.  On Node 2, shutdown everything and changed your oa_services to be enabled as shown here by editing your $CONTEXT_FILE and run adautocfg.sh:

          grep oa_service_status $CONTEXT_FILE

                          <oa_service_status oa_var="s_nodemanagerstatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

                          <oa_service_status oa_var="s_adminserverstatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

                          <oa_service_status oa_var="s_opmnstatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

                          <oa_service_status oa_var="s_apcstatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

                          <oa_service_status oa_var="s_oacorestatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

                          <oa_service_status oa_var="s_formsstatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

                          <oa_service_status oa_var="s_oafmstatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

                          <oa_service_status oa_var="s_forms-c4wsstatus">disabled</oa_service_status>

                          <oa_service_status oa_var="s_oaeastatus">disabled</oa_service_status>

                          <oa_service_status oa_var="s_tnsstatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

                          <oa_service_status oa_var="s_concstatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

                          <oa_service_status oa_var="s_icsmstatus">disabled</oa_service_status>

                          <oa_service_status oa_var="s_jtffsstatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

                          <oa_service_status oa_var="s_formsserver_status">disabled</oa_service_status>

                          <oa_service_status oa_var="s_mwastatus">disabled</oa_service_status>

I have updated as mentioned above:

            Still same error.

            Below after the update:

            [applmgr@APPS2 scripts]$ grep oa_service_status $CONTEXT_FILE

                        <oa_service_status oa_var="s_nodemanagerstatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

                        <oa_service_status oa_var="s_adminserverstatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

                        <oa_service_status oa_var="s_opmnstatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

                        <oa_service_status oa_var="s_apcstatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

                        <oa_service_status oa_var="s_oacorestatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

                        <oa_service_status oa_var="s_formsstatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

                        <oa_service_status oa_var="s_oafmstatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

                        <oa_service_status oa_var="s_tnsstatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

                        <oa_service_status oa_var="s_concstatus">enabled</oa_service_status>

Were there any errors when you ran autoconfig?

If you are still having problems, reconfigure the apps2 node in $ADMIN_SCRIPTS_HOME by running perl adcfgclone.pl appsTier again.  Be sure to accept all defaults on services enabled:

Target System Root Service [enabled] :

Target System Web Entry Point Services [enabled] :

Target System Web Application Services [enabled] :

Target System Batch Processing Services [enabled] :

Target System Other Services [disabled] :

Please rerun perl adcfgclone.pl appsTier on APPS2 then and ensure all standard processes are enabled.

                      After adcfgclone , services started.
