When use Hierarchical Profiler which method should I use when analyze the results?
The documentation is pretty good. I've used the HTML reports produced by plshprof before, and they were very helpful
Is there any query example that we can use for analyze?
huh? You don't use the hierarchical profile to analyze a query, you use it to analyze PL/SQL code.
Which sql statemnet is clear for analyze? For example how is the below statement?
SELECT RPAD(' ', (level-1)*2, ' ') || a.name AS name,
FROM (SELECT fi.symbolid,
RTRIM(fi.owner || '.' || fi.module || '.' || NULLIF(fi.function,fi.module), '.') AS name,
NVL(pci.subtree_elapsed_time, fi.subtree_elapsed_time) AS subtree_elapsed_time,
NVL(pci.function_elapsed_time, fi.function_elapsed_time) AS function_elapsed_time,
NVL(pci.calls, fi.calls) AS calls
FROM dbmshp_function_info fi
LEFT JOIN dbmshp_parent_child_info pci ON fi.runid = pci.runid AND fi.symbolid = pci.childsymid
WHERE fi.runid = 1
AND fi.module != 'DBMS_HPROF') a
CONNECT BY a.parentsymid = PRIOR a.symbolid
START WITH a.parentsymid IS NULL;
And how to interpret the dbmshp_function_info and dbmshp_parent_child_info tables? The docs. is not clear. Is tehre any site that explain clearly?
What are you? Are you buffoon or jester? Coz you are very funny!!!
So... did you even look at what brendanp suggested? It's a legitimate suggestion.
