    GST - India Localization

    Shaik

      Hi All

We have 3 Prod instnaces located in multiple countires

      Application: 11.5.10.2 on RHEL4

All 3 Prod instance are same version and OS, Instances located in India , US, UK

Now i have a requirement to apply GST in India instance later will upgrade to R12.2 and migrate 3 PROD as single Global instance

What is the impact of GST when 3 Prods migrating as SIngle Global Instance.

      Please suggest

      Regards

      Shaik

your question is not very clear , can u please clarify. Are u saying you are going to apply GST in India Instance first (which is in 11i now) and then upgrade to R12.2.2 ?

            Hi

            Thank you for the reply

Yes am going to apply GST patch in India Instance and upgrade to R12.2.5

At the same time different location instances also going to upgrade or reimplement and club all instances as Single Global Instance.

Means other instance located US UK also migrate the data to India Instance to be as Global Single Instance

In this scenario what is the impact of GST when 3 Prods migrating as SIngle Global Instance.

            Regards

Shaik    technically speaking there is no impact. A global instance can have multiple localization. Can u please explain what do you mean by "when 3 Prods migrating as Single Global Instance" and process of your "Single Global Instance" from 3 instances.

I am assuming , you are going to identify "One" of these instance as "Global" instance and then migrate delta configuration , data like master data , transactional data from other 2 instances.

                Hi Arabinda Chakraborty

                Thank you for the reply

Yes ,  will identify one instance as global and other two instances data migrate to global instance.

                Regards
