I'm wondering if there is anyone how get the procedure.preProcess parameter works.
I'm using Oracle ORDS 3.0.9 without apex. I've tried to add the parameter to both defaults.xml and apex_pu.xml but, the procedure is not executed.
Locate the configdir and defaults.xml file and add the following in that file at the end before </properties> tag:
Refer: About the Oracle REST Data Services Configuration Files which says:
Specify the procedure name(s) to execute prior to executing the procedure specified on the URL. Multiple procedure names must be separated by commas.
SCOTT.PREPROC1, INITIALIZE, PKG1.PROC
- No need to add entry key to apex_pu.xml, adding it to defaults.xml is enough. After adding the parameter save the file.
- After the parameter is added to defaults.xml, restart the ORDS services, either by restarting ORDS Standalone or by restarting the Java EE Web Server to which ORDS is deployed, in order to the parameter to take effect.
Hope this helps!
The preprocess parameter only works for calls to APEX.
