    FDMEE import failing

    Anand Muthuswamy

      Hi

      I am new to FDMEE and Jython. We have an import format which has the first column 8001120.10006.101 each segment represents different dimension in my target application (Hyperion planning)

      First one represents department, second one accounts and the third one represents Interco

      I created a script as below:

      def getSegfromAcct(strField, strRecord):

        if strField.count(".") > 0:

        seglist = strField.split(".")

        result = seglist[2]

        return result

      I included this script in my import format in the Account field. When i try to import it fails and gives me error as "[SKIP FROM SCRIPT ] "

      I am not sure whether i am writing the right way.

      Thanks in advance for your suggestions and help

      regards

      Anand

          Is you indentation definitely correct?

          def getSegfromAcct(strField, strRecord):
              if strField.count(".") > 0:
                  seglist = strField.split(".")
                  result = seglist[2]
                  return result

            Hi John,

            Thanks for checking.

            My indentation (4 spaces) in my script is as below:

            def getSegfromAcct(strField, strRecord):

                if strField.count(".") > 0:

                    seglist = strField.split(".")

                    result = seglist[2]

                    return result

            regards

            Anand

              what do you get if you change your script to?

              def getSegfromAcct(strField, strRecord):

                  result = strField

                  if strField.count(".") > 0:

                      seglist = strField.split(".")

                      result = seglist[2]

                  return result

                My source file (.csv) looks as below:

                and my import format is looking at column 1 for account and department. ICP information is not required for my application. I was trying to split only the second segment which is my account code to load in the account column

                regards

                Anand
