Showing meaningful titles for process instances in the process tracking tab is fairly simple in most cases. This works for the later maintenance packs for Oracle BPM 11g, as well as 12c and even PCS. It is described in this blog and video: Display Meaningful Instance Titles in the Process Tracking Tab
You can add additional columns by clicking the small edit presentation icon (to the right of the "Advanced" link). I have not done it, but I'm almost certain that Flex fields can be added to the process tracking tab's columns. The problem with this is that it is not sticky. The next time the user gets into the Tracking tab, the original default columns are displayed.
Hope this helps,
Thank you Dan !
Glad to help.
I believe I am wrong about not being able to add flex fields in the Tracking tab. I've never had the need to try it, but believe they should show up as additional columns to add when you click the Edit Presentation icon. As mentioned before though, whatever you add will be lost once you leave the Tracking tab and reenter it.
Somehow the solution mentioned in your blog ie., updating the exec data --> title in the previous tasks outcome for the next task doesn't work for me.
Worst thing is that Process tracking tab has nothing ( not a single field ) in common with Task tab in order to identity uniquely.
Not sure if there is any other way around this.
Point me to where I can download a small sample Oracle BPM project export where setting the title is not working for you.
