    customer can not launch the OUI to register ORACLE_HOME to center Inventory

      Customer upgrades EBS from 11i to R12.2.5 (everything works well,customer can launch the form successfully).

      Customer expects to register ALL the R12.2.5 ORACLE_HOME to center inventory.

      Customer register the DB ORACLE_HOME successfully.

      Now customer is registering the 10.1.2 ORACLE_HOME,but it can not success.

      $ORACLE_HOME/runInstaller.sh -attachhome \

      > > ORACLE_HOME=/n55ora52/yk78/fs2/EBSapps/10.1.2 \

      > > ORACLE_HOME_NAME='10_1_2_fs2_OH'

      Then the OUI GUI can't be launch.

      If customer specify the -silent option,it can not register the ORACLE_HOME successfully.

          Does the customer launch vncserver or some other GUI console?  They need to export DISPLAY=:0.0 if displaying to the console.

          If the OUI GUI still fails to launch, Then they likely missed some OS prerequisites like 32-bit libraries.  Normally, I do not need a display to reattach the central Inventory.

          What is the OS and version?  How did they install the technology stack for 12.2.5 and not get a central inventory?

          You should probably use the real Oracle Home names which can be found with the following command:

          cd /lv03/oracle/prod122

          grep ORACLE_HOME_NAME fs*/*/*/inventory/Clone/clone.xml

          If I were cloning to an instance named ASCP, the commands would look like this:

          On appTier:

          cd /oracle/appascp/ASCP/fs1/EBSapps/10.1.2/oui/bin

          ./runInstaller -silent -attachHome \

          ORACLE_HOME="/oracle/appascp/ASCP/fs1/EBSapps/10.1.2" \

          ./runInstaller -silent -attachHome \

          ORACLE_HOME="/oracle/appascp/ASCP/fs2/EBSapps/10.1.2" \

          ./runInstaller -silent -attachHome \

          ORACLE_HOME="/oracle/appascp/ASCP/fs1/FMW_Home/Oracle_EBS-app1" \

          ./runInstaller -silent -attachHome \

          ORACLE_HOME="/oracle/appascp/ASCP/fs2/FMW_Home/Oracle_EBS-app1" \

          ./runInstaller -silent -attachHome \

              Hi Gavin,

              You can also review the following note for OUI issues and resolutions, along with checking /etc/hosts and ensure the applmgr user can read it.

              Database Install : OUI Troubleshooting (Doc ID 2089055.1)

              They should also review the 12.2 AIX installation guide.  It is hard to imagine rapidwiz completing the upgrade filesystem installation on a server that runInstaller hangs on.
