Thanks a lot, I totally missed that part from the shortcut. thanks. Also do you happen to know if SQL Developer highlight the code as VERTICAL line (the image was from Teradata Express Studio).
Also the pop-up describe wont work when we are running a query in the worksheet don't think its the case with TOAD
Also do you happen to know if we can reconnect all the opened worksheets in one shot just like in toad. do your work close the laptop go home open it and do a reconnect all then it all the opened sessions will be active once again.

We do show a vertical bar in the line gutter at the left side, but it covers more space than the highlighted text -- always the entire query, or sub-query, wherein the highlighted text resides.

Probably due to the connection being busy during execution of the query. As a workaround, you can open an unshared worksheet from that worksheet before running the query, copy/paste the query into the unshared worksheet and run it from there, thereby leaving the original shared worksheet free to run pop-up describe.

In the Code Editor preferences, there is Linked Stored Procedures to Files. If that is checked, then any open files when you shutdown containing source code that has been compiled in the DB will be re-opened upon restart. I cannot recall if the database reconnect for each is made automatically, or if the saved connection information is only displayed as the default in the connection drop-down list, but maybe not for a regular worksheet.
