Call Business Service Object from Java

Any one know the requirement for calling a business service object using local java API invocation as per oracle support article 1573389.1

Tried the sample code in the article.

I can compile fine from the application server javac -classpath .:$CLASSPATH POServiceTest.java, but it errors on execution java -cp .:$CLASSPATH POServiceTest

      Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError

              at POServiceTest.getAMInstance(POServiceTest.java:166)

              at POServiceTest.main(POServiceTest.java:36)

      Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException

              at oracle.apps.fnd.common.WebAppsContext.setHijackSession(WebAppsContext.java:5811)

              at oracle.apps.fnd.common.WebAppsContext.<clinit>(WebAppsContext.java:799)

              ... 2 more

      Any help greatly appreciated
