    Using multiple data columns

    Nishant Fukate

      Hello Experts,

We are trying to load data from csv file to Planning Application on PBCS.

Can we consider multiple data columns in a Import Format? We have data fields Date1, Date2, Amount, Percentage, Text1, Text2 in a single file. How can we load that?

      Thanks

Yes, if you have a read through More to life...: Loading non-numeric data to planning using FDMEE you will see an example using the multi column all data type

          Cheers

            HI John,

            Thanks for the this.

I am trying to load SmartList value using this. But it is throwing an error below which is unable to trace.

Any chance you can provide an example of the file format and the import format mappings screen, as the problem looks to be around the driver member that has been configured.

Is "Lower or Higher" an account member with a Smart List attached?

I see you have an excel file as the source, if you save that as csv or text it could have quotes around the member names which cause the load to fail.

So check your file (not in excel) do you see "Lower or Higher" , if so remove the quotes and try again.

Another reason for it to fail is if the a database refresh has not been performed, so the members have not been pushed to essbase, this will generate the same type of error.

                    HI John,

                    Thanks for this.

The member "Higher or Lower" is  the Alias used for a member. The member name was different. Tried to keep the member names in Source File instead of Alias.

                    Its working.

                    Thanks
